We were right! The Northern Beaches IS ready to embrace some alternative art culture and after such a great reception with our last Experimental Sound and Drawing night in March, we are holding our second Sonic Moves at The Kave Bar, Newport this May! Come and join us for a night of listening and responding if you wish through relaxing, drawing and/or movement to the sonic works and performers on offer.
French artist in residence Magali Rifflart will also be exhibiting her paintings, drawings and video work made during her time in Sydney on the same night and will be our live drawing artist in response to the sonic performances.

The Composers Ensemble
The Composers’ Ensemble was formed in 2015 amongst composition students at the Sydney Conservatorium, as a testing ground for new works and ideas. It became an avenue for the composers to play their own works amongst other like-minded and open-minded players. The ensemble puts a heavy emphasis on improvisation and experimentation. The Composers’ Ensemble has played at venues across Sydney including the Glebe Justice Centre, Eramboo Artist Space and in the upcoming Vivid Festival at the Sydney Conservatorium.
