SOUNDOSKOPE: VOLUME 4 DEFEKTRO NOISE ARMY

Tired of travelling to the CBD or the inner west to get some alternative, avant garde art culture? Yeah us too, so we have decided to bring it to the Northern Beaches :-) 

Join Hirofumi Uchino aka DEFEKTRO and the Rorschach Climax Ensemble for a night of experimental sounds and noises at The Kave Bar Newport on Wednesday 29th March kicking off at 7.30pm. All are welcome to come and enjoy the Art-Bar and feel free to bring your drawing pads and materials to express on paper the sound experiences, or the performers, or whatever turns you on, or just come as you are!

There will be a $5 cover charge on the door for the performing artists.

All welcome over 18 years

 

About the DEFEKTRO NOISE ARMY

Characterised by their harsh machine produced Junk metal sounds Defektro have been performing together for over 20 years. Formed in Tokyo, Japan, Defektro is a 3 human, many machine noise unit. The units original members Hirofumi Uchino and Ayako Honda crashed onto the noise scene in Tokyo in 1995. In 2001 they were joined by Laura Griffiths to make the present day unit Defektro. Hirofumi Uchino, a futuristic Dr Frankenstien, is the evil mastermind and father of the machines used in Defektro. The sound is produced by the machines, noise instruments, sonic weapon, sampled, effected chewed up and spat out to the pleasure of the audience.
