Wingecarribee Shire Council and the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens are calling for expressions of interest from artists wishing to participate in this year’s Earth Hour celebrations.
This year’s celebrations will include an inaugural Sculpture in the Gardens exhibition. Prizes will be awarded for both ‘Open’ and ‘School’ categories. First prize for established, emerging or new artists is $2,500 with a Highly Commended and People’s Choice award also on offer. In the School category, first prize comprises of a sustainability assessment and workshop plus selected plants to the value of $300. Highly Commended and People’s Choice nominations will also be awarded.
Artists in the Wingecarribee, Wollondilly and Goulburn Mulwaree Local Government Areas are encouraged to apply. To submit an Expression of Interest or learn more about the event visit www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/earth-hour.
